Product properties

white - colorless while dried

Primer K-15 has white colour, which change to colorless while Primer is dried. Does not cause discoloration of the surface.

Water vapour permeable

Dried and bonded Primer K-15 transmits water vapor, provided that it is applied in a maximum of two layers.

bonding and drying time

The primer bonding time is approximately 90 minutes for 0.2 l/m layer (at +20°C and with good ventilation). Bonding time may increase or decrease depending on temperature and humidity. A temperature below +10°C stops bonding.

suitable substrates

K-15 is an excellent primer for acrylic and latex coatings that are water-based polymer resin dispersions, unless the paint manufacturer recommends otherwise. The emulsion should not be applied as a primer for silica coatings.

ŚMIG K-15 - Universal Primer

ŚMIG K-15 is a top-class primer emulsion. It is a ready mix that does not need to be diluted. It can be applied on any mineral surface, including walls, ceilings and floors, both indoors and outdoors. The product is designed to improve adhesion of mortar, wall tile adhesive, self-levelling underlayment and paint coating.

HOW TO USE

1. SURFACE PREPARATION

The surface should be stable, clean, free of grease, soot, flaking and unstable paint coatings (cleaning with water under pressure or detergents).

2. Application

The primer should be applied using a roller or a spray gun. You can continue work after primer dries. In the case of surfaces of high absorption properties, it is permitted to dilute the primer with water in the ration of 2:1. If the primer is used solely for dust suppression, it can be diluted in the ratio of 1:1. Minimum application temp. is +10°C.

Packaging
The product is packed and sold in plastic canisters, with 5 liters volume. They should be stored in a dry room at 0°C to +40°C. Failure to comply with the requirement may result in damage to the product and people in the vicinity are in danger of losing their lives or health.
Guarantee
The product is suitable for use up to 12 months after the manufacturing date printed on the packaging. During the period, the manufacturer guarantees that the product maintains its properties, provided storage conditions are complied with and the product is applied according to its intended use, guidelines, and common construction rules and OHS standards.
