HOW DO I SMOOTH WALLS, CEILINGS AND PLASTERBOARDS BY A ROLLER?
Our product will help you Smooth Walls, Ceilings and Plasterboards by a Roller! Also ŚMIG A-11 has much more functions. For more info check below.

Product properties
perfect for roller
ŚMIG A-11 is intended for smoothing walls and ceilings using roller straight from bucket without adding water in preparation for paint or wallpaper.
PERFECTLY WHITE
ŚMIG A-11 wet mortar and finished layer are white.
Flexible and resistant to cracking
ŚMIG A-11 Finish is highly flexible and resistant to cracking after drying and bonding. NOTE! The product reaches its structural stability, flexibility and adhesion only after drying and bonding have been completed.
Economical and convenient
ŚMIG A-11 Finish is intended for immediate application after opening. Work can be interrupted at any time, provided the bucket is tightly closed. After the next opening, the finish can be used again. ŚMIG A-11 should be applied straight from the bucket without any preparation. This makes the product very convenient to use and saves up to 10% of time (no need for traditional gypsum mortar preparation). Thanks to the use of the entire bucket content, the product is also more economical than traditional mortars.
High adhesiveness
ŚMIG A-11 adhesiveness to the surface exceeds the requirements of the standard.
Perfectly creamy
A-11 Finish can be applied using a roller. Since it is thinner than ŚMIG A-2, the product can be applied using a roller without diluting with water.
Layer thickness
Since a layer thinner than 1 mm can be applied, the overall use of the product is significantly reduced. The maximum thickness of a single layer is 3 mm. If the layer is thicker, the surface may crack after drying.
Bonding time
The mortar bonding time is approximately 1-2 hours for a 1 mm layer and approximately 24 hours for a 3 mm layer (at +20°C and with good ventilation). Bonding time may increase or decrease depending on temperature and humidity. Temperature below +10°C stops bonding.

ŚMIG A-11 - White Finish Roll On Plaster
Mix ŚMIG A-11 before use. A maximum 3 mm layer of ŚMIG should be applied directly from the bucket. To achieve a perfect finish, wait for the first layer to dry before applying subsequent layers, ensuring each new layer is thinner

advantages of ŚMIG A-11

apply straight from the bucket
A maximum 3 mm layer of ŚMIG should be applied directly from the bucket. Mix ŚMIG A-11 before use. Product can be used later on only when the bucket is closed correctly.

long open time
ŚMIG A-11 formula is making possible to apply large surfaces at one time. The mortar open time is longer than in usual plaster. Due to the fact that the plaster does not dry up so quickly, you will work faster and more comfortably!

PERFECTLY WHITE and smooth
ŚMIG A-11 White Finish Ready for Paint Coating – designated to make walls and ceilings smooth. The finish forms a solid and snow-white substrate for paint coating or wallpaper.

smooth out the surface with:

For the first smooting out of our surface we highly recomend smoothing blades. The best size to use with ŚMIG A-11 is beetween 20 and 80 cm. Usually smoothing blades are made from aluminum or plastic. The ones made from aluminum are more durable and resistant to mechanical damage. Some producers also offer the function of replaceable steel blades, which allows an easy replacement of the tool when the sheet metal is bent.
how to use
1. Surface preparation
The product can be applied to any typical substrate, including wood-based, deformable surfaces, and to old paint coatings, provided the substrate is stable, clean and dry. The surface should be stable, clean, free of grease, soot, flaking and unstable paint coatings (cleaning with water under pressure or detergents). Wetting of the substrate is not recommended as it reduces the adhesion of the product. No priming is necessary. If the substrate stability is uncertain, it is recommended to use the ŚMIG K-15 Universal Primer.
2. Apply using a roller
The finish should be applied using a nylon brush roller, making sure that the layer does not exceed 3 mm. When the surface is still wet, smoothen it with a stainless steel joint knife. The surface should be made even and smooth before the product layer dries. The wet smoothing with a flexible blade eliminates or significantly reduces the need for sanding after drying. If necessary, sand the dry surface with a mesh or 150-200 grit sandpaper.
3. Application using traditional tools
The product is also suitable for machine or hand application straight from the bucket using clean stainless steel tools. When spraying, it is necessary to add and mix between 100 and 200 ml of water per 17 kg of the finish. There is no need to add water when using a stainless steel trowel. Apply at temperatures between +10 and +40°C. Spread in layers of up to 3 mm. The next layer can be applied after the previous one has been fully hardened.
4. Dry sanding
Dry sanding involves the application of one or two layers of wet finish and grinding the surface after drying. Initial sanding with 80-100 grit sand paper or mesh. Final sanding with 180-240 grit sand paper or mesh. If the first layer is not even, it is recommended to add the product locally or apply its thinner layer. Before applying another layer and before painting, it is essential to remove dust from the surface or to bond it to the surface. When removing dust, use clean brushes and the ŚMIG K-15 Universal Primer. Primer must be applied using a paint roller or a spray gun. After removing dust or drying of the primer, the smooth surface is ready for painting.
5. Mechanical smoothing
The finish is also intended for mechanical smoothing, using a drywall sander. The mechanical smoothing significantly reduces the release of dust by suction and vacuum mechanism.
ŚMIG A-11 is suitable for indoor use only. The product should not be applied to metals, plastics and glass. Do not use it in rooms where humidity permanently exceeds 70%. Periodically high humidity, such as in laundry rooms, kitchens or bathrooms is not a problem. Adequate ventilation must be provided when drying. The product should not be used for filling cavities deeper than 3 mm. If necessary, stir before use
The product is available in plastic buckets of 17 kg, which are environmentally friendly since they are made from recycled materials! Buckets should be stored in a dry room at 0°C to +40°C, preferably on pallets. It is prohibited to stack pallets. Failure to comply with the requirement may result in damage to the product and people in the vicinity are in danger of losing their lives or health.
The product is suitable for use up to 12 months after the manufacturing date printed on the packaging. During the period, the manufacturer guarantees that the product maintains its properties, provided storage conditions are complied with and the product is applied according to its intended use, guidelines, and common construction rules and OHS standards. The product has its Properties Declaration and it is certified by the Hygiene Authority.
